✿ Hiking Services ✿
We primarily run on a weekly recurring schedule for our hikers. Please email us to see what available weekly slots are open!
Due to the recurring weekly schedule, we are rarely able to accommodate random one-time hike requests.
Adventure Sniffari Hikes - On or Off Leash
$40 (One Dog One Hour) + $10 For One Additional Dog (Same Household)
Our Adventure Sniffaris allow your dog to have a sense of agency and be able to make their own decisions; something they don't often get to do in our human-ruled world! They are great for enrichment and decompression in an environment where your pup will be able to walk or run at their own pace, spend as long as they like sniffing, and choose which trails we head down, all while staying safe and close.
If you'd like your pup to have some company on their sniffari, we have the option of scheduling additional dogs at the same time block so long as they live within 5 minutes of you. Please let us know if they would like a hiking partner, or if they'd prefer a solo hike!
For our on leash hikes, we use 10ft, 15ft, or 30ft long leashes to give your pup the most freedom possible while still being in control. We can also do a psuedo-off leash hike where they wear a long line that drags behind them and I pick it up as needed. This is usually for nervous dogs that may flee back to the car if something spooks them, or for training to eventually become fully off leash.
Our 1 hour time frame includes driving to/from the trail, so we try to stick to the closest trails we can, usually within 5 minutes of your home! We do our best to choose a different trail each hike so that the experience is always new and exciting for your pup.
Please also note that we may encounter wet/muddy/slushy spots and your dog may come home dirty, especially if they already have a tendency to enjoy getting dirty and/or jumping in water. I do my best to towel dry any damp pups, but make no promises that they will be perfectly clean. Off leashers will be especially difficult to keep clean!
Requirements:
- Dogs must be comfortable riding in the car in a crate. We have large Ruffland Kennels in the vehicle for safety in case of an accident.
- On leash hikers must have a safely fitted harness. I usually have spares that can be borrowed if needed.
- Off leash hikers must either have a solid recall and/or be e-collar trained. I will not risk off leash hikes if your pup cannot listen.
- All dogs must wear a collar with identification tags. (Tags attached to a harness instead is fine as well!)
- For everyone's safety, I can no longer accept any dogs that excessively pull on the leash, or are aggressively reactive to other dogs or people.
